The cast of David Fincher's upcoming sequel to the iconic film 'The Social Network' is growing by the day. Now, 'Sinners' star Wunmi Mosaku has joined the star cast. The film will be directed by Aaron Sorkin, the original writer of 'The Social Network'.
'The Social Network' focuses on the founding of Facebook and the legal disputes that followed. The Social Reckoning tells the true story behind The Wall Street Journal's "The Facebook Files" story, which exposed Facebook's internal affairs. In it, Facebook engineer Frances Haugen works with WSJ journalist Jeff Horwitz to expose the company's understanding of the harmful effects of social media.

The film stars Mikey Madison as Frances Haugen, Jeremy Allen White as Jeff Horwitz, and Jeremy Strong as Mark Zuckerberg. Jeremy Strong replaces Jesse Eisenberg, who previously played Zuckerberg. Also, Andrew Garfield is not reprising his role as Facebook co-founder Eduardo Saverin. According to a recent report by Deadline, Wanmi Mossaku has also been cast in the project. However, her role is yet to be revealed.
Wanmi Mossaku is most recently remembered by many film fans for her role as Annie in the film 'Sinners'. In the film, she played a 'hoodoo priestess' who knows key information about vampires. While she is in the running for the Best Supporting Actress award at the 2026 Oscars, she also won a BAFTA Award for the film 'Our Loved Boy' in the past. Her other notable films include 'Deadpool & Wolverine', 'His House', 'Loki', 'Black Mirror', and 'Lovecraft Country'.
Wanmi Mossaku's new co-stars are also rising talents in the industry. After films like 'Once Upon a Time in Hollywood' and 'Scream', Mikey Madison consolidated her position by winning the Best Actress award for the film 'Anora' last year. Jeremy Allen White is known as a TV actor with the series 'The Bear' and Jeremy Strong with the series 'Succession'.
However, Jeremy Allen White is starring in this year's most prestigious film 'Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere', while Jeremy Strong received a nomination for Best Supporting Actor for the film 'The Apprentice' last year. 'The Social Reckoning' has already attracted a lot of attention because of these actors. Now, with the addition of Wanmi Mosaku, who is riding high on the success of 'Sinners', the expectations on the film have increased even more.
Aaron Sorkin, Todd Black, Peter Rice, and Stuart Besser are producing the film. The film 'The Social Reckoning' is set to hit theaters on October 9, 2026, 16 years after the release of its predecessor.
